BOWLER’S ED PROGRAM
What is bowler’s ed? Bowler’s ed is a in-school bowling program, which is provided free to teachers. One bowling kit consists of a 20 foot carpeted bowling lane, a set of 10 weighted pins and a 5 pound rubberized bowling ball. Hartfield Lanes has 6 kits, which we loan to local teachers and schools for free. The bowling program is designed to teach 3rd-8th grade students the fundamentals of bowling and includes additional lessons that incorporate bowling with cardiovascular exercise, spelling, math, history and many other subjects.
How do you get your school involved in bowler’s ed? We ask that a representative from the school (teacher/athletic director) contact us to request a free teaching curriculum, instructional video, and equipment for use in the class. In addition, we have representatives from Hartfield Lanes that can meet with you to do a hands-on workshop to show you how to teach bowling in your class. Contact Debbie at (248) 543-9338 Ext 19 or e-mail us today.
Why choose to use Bowler’s Ed in your class? Because it’s free to you and your students and because it is fun. Bowling is a great lifetime sport that kids of all sizes, strength, and athletic ability can participate in. Once your students have completed their bowling unit, thay will each receive a free game coupon to use at Hartfield Lanes Bowling Center.
